Darkest Dungeon II Exists Early Access for Full Release in May; Free Limited Time Demo Available Now

Red Hook Studios announced that Darkest Dungeon II will leave Early Access on the Epic Games Store for a full release on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on May 8, 2023.

Darkest Dungeon II has also received a free demo available on Epic and Steam throughout Steam Next Fest. The demo features four heroes to play throughout an entire in-game region. Players will be tasked with surviving the obstacles each run puts in from of them. Further, exploration spans the city of Sprawl or the farms of Foetor.

Sadly, progression in the demo I’ll not be saved. The full version of the game features most heroes and five regions. The team also confirmed that there would be five end bosses and a metagame hub with upgrades.

Darkest Dungeon II was initially released in Early Access on The Epic Games Store in October 2023. The game has since received upgrades and expanded the concept with striking 3D visuals and a new run-based road trip structure that streamlines the experience without sacrificing the complexity of its systems.

Darkest Dungeon II will likely head to more platforms in the future, but it’s PC exclusive right now.

We’ll keep you updated on the release of Darkest Dungeon II.
