Bandai Namco released a new trailer for the Supermassive Games developed narrative horror adventure The Dark Pictures‘ first installment titled Man of Medan, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam in 2019.
The trailer, titled “Ghost Ship”, details the story and characters from the game. One character detailed is the Curator, played by Pip Torrens, will be the observer of all the protagonists’ progress throughout the story. He is ever present and has been recording events for thousands of years.
Evidentally, he knows that there are “rules” to life and he knows that he shouldn’t interfere. However, there are times when he does such as points out something that the player missed, without telling them directly where they are.
During the game, players will make decisions that they have to live with. Some of these choices can cause characters to die and thus altering the game’s narrative. This is similar to the developer’s previous title Until Dawn, which was a huge success in terms of story design and gameplay. The game follows the story of 5 towaways who embarked on a journey in a stormy sea.

Author’s take: I was so happy with Until Dawn that I remember playing through it several times, which is pretty rare for me this day and age. I’m super excited to know more about this game and the characters.
