Horror Adventure ‘The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan’ Shows How Choices Alter Course of the Story in New Video

Bandai Namco released a new video for the Supermassive Games developed narrative-driven adventure The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam on August 30.

The video goes into detail about the game’s choice system and how each choice will affect relationships in the game. While some choice weighs heavier than others, players should be aware of the small impacts their actions have on the relationship of character. In the video, we also see what effect making no choice has on the conversation as well as how scenes play out differently depending on the player’s actions.

During The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, players will make decisions that they have to live with. Some of these choices can cause characters to die and thus altering the game’s narrative. This is similar to the developer’s previous title Until Dawn, which was a huge success in terms of story design and gameplay. The game follows the story of 5 stowaways who embarked on a journey in a stormy sea.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan will launch with Day 1 access to the “Curator’s Cut”, which players can pre-order today. However, the Curator’s Cut will be made available to players post-launch, but not until a later date.
