Dark Fantasy Adventure ‘Guild of Darksteel’ Revealed With PS4, Switch, and PC Launch Window

Digerati announced they will publish the dark fantasy adventure, Guild of Darksteel, on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam in Q1 2021.

Guild of Darksteel was developed by one man, Igor Sandman, and features sidescrolling action through various environments. Players assume the role of the Sellsword, who happens to be an immortal and seeks purpose for his eternal life by joining the Guild of Darksteel. This new group leads him to investigate various mysteries underneath the city of Ravenrock.

“The world of Guild of Daksteel is unforgiving: the rich exploit the poor, the strong trample the weak. It’s a world not unlike our own and ultimately, that is the story I need to tell,” Sandman says about his debut game. “Guild of Darksteel is a work of passion that took me years to complete, yet it will only be truly completed once you play it.”

During gameplay, players will fight against various enemies and unlock combos as they level up. Chaining together attacks is considered to be the best strategy for victory. Players can also explore Ravenrock and interact with the NPCs, who each have a backstory.

The publisher mentions that Guild of Darksteel is inspired by games such as Flashback and Vagrant Story as it aims to immerse the player in its narrative.
