Izanagi Games has released the first teaser for Dark Auction: Hitler’s Estate. The new adventure title created by Rika Suzuki of Hotel Dusk and Another Code fame will be released worldwide for PC (Steam) and Switch in 2024 and is currently in a crowdfunding campaign in Japan through Campfire.
Dark Auction: Hitler’s Estate tells the story of a young man called Noah Crawford. On 1981, as he investigates his father’s obsession for the German dictator’s possessions, Noah goes to an ancient castle where a mysterious auction is taking place. As he learns more about the participants, he will also get closer to the truth behind his father’s actions and a secret he concealed.
The game is written by Rika Suzuki, whose previous creations include the Another Code series, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, Last Window: The Secret of Cape West, and other narrative adventures. The character designer is Kohske, whose best-known work is the manga Gangsta.
The first trailer shows a little of the somber mood of the game and a few animations but it’s more of a teaser than an actual trailer that showcases gameplay portions or something more concrete for the final build. However, the video also reveals the main characters and their respective voice actors:
Noah Crawford – Kengo Kawanishi
Edgar Schulz – Daisuke Namikawa
Karla Becker – Maaya Uchida
Christoph Treheim Von Berg – Nobunaga Shimazaki
Otto Klein – Shunsuke Takeuchi
Lorraine Klopp – Yui Ishikawa
Leonard Crawford – Rikiya Koyama
Auctitioner – Sho Hayami
