Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp Reveals Character Progression, Event Scenes, and Board Game Details

Spike Chunsoft has revealed new information for the upcoming Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp, the fourth title being included in Danganronpa Decadence. This particular title is a revamped, enhanced version of the Ultimate Talent Development Plan board minigame in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Players will find themselves on Jabberwock Island, a resort consisting of 6 connected islands.

Game cycles run through 50 turns, and players will roll dice to progress through the game board. Each space triggers unique events, providing an endless sea of opportunities for player variance. Characters all have their own levels and stats, which heighten via several activities such as interacting with other characters on the board. Additionally, numerous battles will halt progress. To emerge successfully from these encounters, skills must be acquired, and they are learned from utilizing Talent Fragments, found by stopping on Talent Squares. Items, weapons, and armor also aid in this effort.

For players desiring more intricacies to the battle mode, the 200-floor Tower of Despair can be tackled, which holds an inestimable amount of Monokuma minions. Monokuma Medals and coins earned from these fights can be used in the School Store’s MonoMono Machine, a roulette essentially. Items and new characters can be obtained using this machine, with rare characters growing faster in Development Mode.

This impressive title boasts over 1,000 event scenes and 60+ playable characters from the prior entries. While only the protagonists of each title will be usable initially, the other members of the cast will join the fray from progression and from playing around with the MonoMono Machine.

Danganronpa Decadence will launch on Nintendo Switch on December 3, 2021.
