Cytus α Gets New Details and Confirmed Western Release on Nintendo Switch

FlyhighWorks announced that the most recent Rayark developed rhythm game Cytus α will release in the west on Nintendo Switch, with more details on when the game will release coming soon. However, the game is confirmed for a release in Japan on January 25.

Cytus α is an immersive rhythm game that blends story with over 200 playable tracks that vary in genre and speed. Additionally, throughout the game players will notice that some tracks even have rearranged versions that they can experience. Additionally, the Nintendo Switch version of the game has a new user interface to work with the Switch hardware and online leaderboards.

Rayark also announced that their piano rhythm title, Deemo, has a new update that adds 5 new tracks and 10 additional tracks have been added to the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con Collection.

The original Cytus is available now on iOS and Android devices. Deemo is available now on PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, and iOS and Android devices.

Author’s take: This game looks really good. I’m glad rhythm developers have a console to go to with a touchscreen. Since the Vita is no longer a thing these games could have only able to release on mobile devices.
