Cytus α Drops on Nintendo Switch This Month; Retail Version Comes In May With Soundtrack CD

Circle Entertainment and acttil have announced that the Rayark developed rhythm game Cytus α is coming to Nintendo Switch digitally via eShop on April 25 and on May 14 in the physical format from PM Studios.

To celebrate the release of Cytus α on Nintendo Switch, the initial release of the retail version will include a special soundtrack CD, featuring music from [Chapter Ω], so you can jam out to some of Cytus α’s jams in your car, on your computer, or maybe even your Sony Discman. The CD and the game will be nicely packaged in a nice box with exclusive box art featuring some of the rad visuals of Cytus α.

Cytus α is an immersive rhythm game that blends story with over 200 playable tracks from the original Cytus game. Additionally, throughout the game players will notice that some tracks even have rearranged versions that they can experience. Players have the option to use the Nintendo Switch’s unique touch controls to hit notes for maximum control. There is also an online mode for players to engage in score battles with other rhythm fanatics.

The original Cytus is available now on iOS and Android devices.

Author’s Take: Having had a chance to play this at GDC 2019, I have to say that Cytus αis definitely a fun rhythm game on Switch. Excited to truly play the game when it releases in May!
