Developer and publisher Microids has revealed the release date trailer for the upcoming Beyond a Steel Sky, the sequel to cult classic Beneath a Steel Sky. Throughout this title, players control Robert Foster, who has vowed to bring a child back home following a tragic event in which they were attacked. The two end up in Union City on this journey, one of the world’s final mega-cities after seemingly endless waves of political strife and war.
The city is under the rule of an AI with androids and other technological marvels, but, like in every city, especially in a world torn apart by conflict, a secretive darker side to this area is present.
Pre-ordering this title at select retailers grants several noteworthy bonuses, which are 2 digital comics by Dave Gibbons, and a digital 50-page artbook. A physical Foster enamel pin is also available for physical pre-orders.
The Beyond a Steelbook edition includes obviously a steelbook with comic artwork done by Dave Gibbons, as well as the digital soundtrack and physical stickers.
Lastly is the Utopia edition, which includes the following:
- Collector’s box
- Enamel Pin
- Exclusive Hologram Lamp
- 50 Page Mini Artbook
- Exclusive Steelbook

- 5 Holo-ad Cards
- Exchangeable Dog Tags as a Keychain and Necklace
