Cyberpunk FPS ‘Turbo Overkill’ Announced with New Gameplay Trailer For PC and Consoles
From the creator of the DOOM II mod Total Chaos comes a new ultraviolent cyberpunk FPS, Turbo Overkill. 3D Realms co-founder Scott Miller, the pioneer behind Duke Nukem, Max Payne, Prey, Rise of the Triad, and Wolfenstein 3D, will also offer creative support for Trigger Happy Interactive’s debut commercial release.
In Turbo Overkill, players hunt down a rogue AI in Paradise, a dystopian cyberpunk hellscape. Rev up mercenary Johnny Turbo’s chainsaw leg for brutal slide and jump attacks. Wall-run and dash around levels packed with secrets. Outrun rival bounty hunters by surfing on the hoods of flying cars. Unload a dizzying array of inventive firepower, like the auto-locking Twin Magnums or the Telefragger Sniper Rifle, which warps Johnny inside the target, exploding them from within.
Turbo Overkill also offers various gameplay features such as “Hero Time,” a new form of slow-motion combat, and a variety of special power augmentations from boss battles. In addition, the game contains two dozen stages filled with secrets, bonus arena stages, action-packed combat, and puzzles.
Turbo Overkill will be releasing in 2022 on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
