CD Projekt Red announced they have worked closely with Microsoft to put together a custom Xbox One X inspired by the futurist theme of Cyberpunk 2077.
The console will feature a 1 TB hard drive with glow-in-the-dark elements, custom decorative panels, LEDs, color-shift effects, and textures. The console also includes a wireless Xbox controller inspired by the character of Johnny Silverhand, with a half natural, half cyber-enhancement chrome design. The controller will also be available for purchase as a standalone product.
Those who pick up the console will also receive a download code for Cyberpunk 2077 and a few other items that will be revealed soon. The console will be available in June; the game code will act as a pre-order for its September release.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set in the future and is played in the first person where players can explore the world and take on missions, seemingly creating their own story in this new world. The game will feature multiple, upgradable skills and abilities as well as the possibility of upgrading individual character classes. This is a massive game for the developer as a followup to the wildly popular 1988 tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020.
Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 17, with a PC-via Google Stadia launch later in the year.
