CD Projekt Red has revealed the upcoming expansion arriving in Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty. Players will encounter new characters throughout this previously unexplored area of the city. Johnny Silverhand was also confirmed to be still reprised by actor Keanu Reeves.
The title’s 1.6 patch update, “Edgerunners,” was also announced, which will add equipable items from the titular anime to the game, such as the jacket of the show’s protagonist, David Martinez. In addition, a shotgun from a different character in the show will also be added. Other features stated to be making their way to the game in this update are a clothing transmog system, cross-platform progression, and playable Roach Race minigame arcade cabinets.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set in the future and is played in the first person, where players can explore the world and take on missions, seemingly creating their own story in this new world. The game will feature multiple, upgradable skills and abilities and the possibility of upgrading individual character classes. This is a huge game for the developer as a follow-up to the wildly popular 1988 tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020.
