CD Projekt Red announced that their open-world RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has been updated to version 1.5 which optimizes the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game.

This patch 1.5 features faster load times along with visual and technical improvements. Further, PS5 owners can use the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers during gameplay.

Those who wish to try out the game can do so on both consoles for free until March 15. All save data can be transferred over as well with options to transfer over last-gen save data as well. Current owners of the last-gen version can upgrade for free.

The new update also comes equipped with a host of changes and improvements across all versions of Cyberpunk 2077. These range from further performance and stability optimizations, to tweaks to gameplay and economy, the open world of the game, map usage, along with new interactions for relationships and an overhauled Fixer system. Furthermore, new pieces of free additional content have also been introduced, including rentable apartments, new gear, character customization options, and more. Details regarding the new content are available here.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set in the future and is played in the first person, where players can explore the world and take on missions, seemingly creating their own story in this new world. The game will feature multiple, upgradable skills and abilities and the possibility of upgrading individual character classes. This is a huge game for the developer as a follow-up to the wildly popular 1988 tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020.
