During Microsoft’s E3 2019 Briefing, CD Projekt Red has Keanu Reeves take the stage to reveal that Cyberpunk 2077 will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16, 2020.
The actor seems to be working with the developer on the project after the team revealed a new gameplay trailer where some characters seemed to have gotten themselves into some trouble. The trailer is full of cinematic goodness as the characters reveal their cybernetic limbs and use them to take each other out. At the end of the trailer, Keanu Reeves’ character appears and tells the player that they have a city to burn. Whether or not he will be a prominent character in the game is yet to be seen, but we sure hope he is.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set in the future and is played in the first person where players can explore the world and take on missions, seemingly creating their own story in this new world. The game will feature multiple upgradable skills and abilities as well as the possibility of upgrading individual character classes. This is a huge game for the developer as a followup to the wildly popular 1988 tabletop game Cyperpunk 2020.
