Cupid Parasite is making its way to PC, with Idea Factory International confirming a Steam release set for 2026. The romantic comedy visual novel originally launched on Nintendo Switch and marks the publisher’s first otome title on the platform since 2018. In case you missed it, check out our interview with the developers to learn more about the characters and narrative.
The Steam version is now live for wishlisting. This release expands the game’s availability beyond its Switch debut, bringing its character-driven story and branching routes to a wider audience on PC.
Set in the flashy city of Los York, the story follows Lynette Mirror, a top bridal advisor at Cupid Corporation. Her job is to guide clients toward romance, but she’s secretly Cupid herself, the Goddess of Love. After fleeing Celestia, she takes on a new challenge involving a group of problematic clients known as the Parasite 5. These five men become the focus of a matchmaking reality program called “PARASITE HOUSE,” which doubles as both a narrative device and a way to explore each character’s route.
Gameplay centers around player choice and relationship management. You’ll guide Lynette through conversations and decisions that affect her Love Level with each character, unlocking different story outcomes. A questionnaire system determines compatibility and route paths, though later playthroughs allow manual selection. The game also includes a flowchart system, making it easy to revisit key moments and explore alternate routes without restarting from scratch.
Additional systems include “practice dates” to build relationships and optional settings that adjust how feedback is presented during dialogue choices. These mechanics tie into the game’s multiple endings, encouraging repeat playthroughs.
Cupid Parasite is scheduled to release on PC via Steam in 2026. It is currently available on Nintendo Switch.
