Cupid Parasite Reveals New Character Renders and Profiles Leading Up to Release

Publisher Idea Factory has shared new character profiles and renders for the upcoming comedic otome, Cupid Parasite. Apparently, there are gods in this game, so they are showcased below alongside some supporting characters.

Cupid Parasite 5 1 — Catherine Spade – “A bubbly, outgoing woman who recently became a member of Cupid Corp. Her face is barely visible beneath her scarf and giant sunglasses, but she has complete confidence when it comes to beauty. She adores our heroine, and insisted that she serve as her personal bridal advisor.”

Cupid Parasite 4 1 — Claris Tia – “The heroine’s best friend from college. Out of concern for the heroine sharing a room with a guy (Gill), Claris decided to become her roommate as well. Even after the broken-hearted Gill moved out of their apartment, Claris and the heroine remained roommates, further strengthening their friendship. The pair are thick as thieves, and continue to play an important part in each other’s lives. Claris also works at the Cupid Corporation in a technical role.”

Cupid Parasite 3 1 — Owen Herriot – “The stand-in for Monsieur Esse (Shelby Snail) who takes part in interviews, workshops, and mock dates on his employer’s behalf. He also serves as the president’s dedicated secretary and never misses a detail when it comes to reporting, communicating, and consulting about any subject. For example, he once went out of his way to send his boss a picture of the heroine in a swimsuit during their date…”

Cupid Parasite 2 2 — Minerva – “The goddess of wisdom and a member of the Dii Consentes, a group of deities who rule over Celestia. The heroine’s aunt, who possesses a fascination of all things human. The other gods find her strange, thanks to her peculiar hobbies and interests. Her room, which she calls “Lady Minerva’s secret room,” is filled with PCs, cellphones, DVDs, and all kinds of other human artifacts. She is intimately familiar with humanity’s latest and most popular entertainment, and decides to help the heroine run away from home and descend into the Human Realm.”

Cupid Parasite 86 — Mar – “The god of war and a member of the Dii Consentes, a group of deities who rule over Celestia. He is the heroine’s father and godly advisor who ensures she performs her matchmaking duties adequately. He believes that humans require the guidance of the gods, and that a god’s will is absolute. But recently, the heroine has started to question how necessary the gods truly are, leading to a rift between father and daughter. Once he gets going on a topic, he tends to ramble on and on until he eventually runs out of steam. His favorite story, naturally, is the heroic tale of the Trojan War.”

Additionally, the official Cupid Parasite website was updated with humorous introductions from Gill Lovecraft and Shelby Snail.

Cupid Parasite tells the story of a cupid called Lynette Mirror, who runs from home and starts living in the human world. Working at a bridal adviser company, she’s managed to climb to the top of the company, being recognized as the best employee. Taking that into account, her boss decides to give her a special job.

She has to manage the five worst clients the company has ever had. Known as Parasite 5, they’re infamous for causing a lot of trouble. By marrying them off, she’ll be able to get a big promotion, but this may end up being the most challenging job of her life.

Worst of all, they’ll all have to live together as part of a reality show to promote the company’s expertise. The plot is quite colorful and unpredictable as various quirky situations arise in this romantic comedy story.

Cupid Parasite is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 2, 2021, for North America, and November 5, 2021, for Europe.
