Studio MDHR announced during the Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase Spring 2019 that their retro cartoon co-op action game Cuphead will launch on Nintendo eShop on April 18.
Cuphead on Switch will include a major free content update that will also be available on every version of Cuphead — Xbox One, PC, and Mac on the same day. This new content update will add fan-requested features and new additions to the already addictively fun game. This update includes the option to play as Mugman in single-player, new fully animated cutscenes along with never-before-seen art and fight intros. The game will also now support ten additional languages as well as receive some quality of life bug fixes and new secrets for players to discover on their own.
Cuphead allows players to take control of either Cuphead or Mugman as they enter Devil’s Casino where they lose a bet with the Devil. In order for them to not lose their souls, the duo must collect the debts for the devil in the form of collecting souls for him. However, that’s easier said than done considering the towering bosses that are indebted to the devil.
The free patch is available on April 18 across all versions of the game.
