Crystar Gets Two New Costume DLCs With In-Game Bonuses

Publisher Spike Chunsoft announced that the FuRyu developed RPG Crystar has two new costume DLCs, the Peddler Collection DLC and the Mascot Costume Collection DLC, which are both available now for PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store and PC-via Steam. The DLCs will be available for European PlayStation 4 players on September 13.

While the costumes themselves certainly make the Crystar characters even more stylish, they also provide in-game bonuses so players can truly fight through Purgatory in style.

Here’s a short and sweet rundown of the bonuses for both costume collections:

Peddler Collection DLC

Talk to the Peddler while wearing a fashionable costume from this collection and any items you purchase from the Peddler in Purgatory come with a 10% discount.

Mascot Costume Collection DLC

Let’s you dress up as an animal mascot that represents each character in Crystar:

  • Rei: Thelema, her dog
  • Kokoro: Wolf
  • Sen: Lion
  • Nanana: Bird

If you have a character in your party wearing one of these costumes, Revenants with uncollected memoirs will be drawn to you. Don these costumes to collect all the Memoirs of the Dead. However, the feature only works on levels where Revenants with memoirs appear.

Crystar is an action RPG that has players assume the role of Rei Hatada, who is trying to revive her dead younger sister Mirai Hatada. Evidently, she makes a deal with the devil and must now fight the souls of those who have drifted into limbo. The game revolves around the power of crying, which lends assistance to the characters and allows them to purify weapons and gain specific stat boosts.
