Crystar Officially Announced For Switch; Early 2022 Release, All DLC Included

Publisher NIS America has announced that the action RPG Crystar will be releasing for Nintendo Switch in Early 2022. This release will include all of the DLC content available for the PlayStation 4 and PC versions at no extra cost, which primarily consists of a myriad of outfits for the playable cast.

In Crystar, players assume the role of Rei Hatada, who is trying to revive her dead younger sister Mirai Hatada. But, unfortunately, she makes a deal with the devil and must now fight the souls of those who have drifted into limbo. The game revolves around the power of crying, which lends assistance to the characters and allows them to purify weapons and gain specific stat boosts. Players can also gradually earn lore of the enemies they defeat, amplifying the overall disheartening state of affairs present in this heartwrenching narrative.

Additionally, a stellar English dub is present alongside an engaging tale. Even though the combat can become monotonous, this game is a perfect fit for the Switch, and it’s a bit shocking that it’s only just begun making its way to the platform.
