Crytek announced that Crysis Remastered Trilogy is in development and coming to PC and consoles this fall.
Crysis Remastered Trilogy features the campaigns of Crysis, Crysis 2, and Crysis 3, optimized with the help of game developer Saber Interactive. The collection is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with improved performances on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Further, Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 will be available as standalone purchases, similar to how players can purchase Crysis Remasted now.
Each entry of the Crysis series expands this alien-fighting adventure beginning with Crysis Remastered, where you land on a chain of islands and fight off invading aliens using an equipped Nanosuit. In Crysis 2 Remastered, the fight hits close to home as players must fight against the aliens after they’ve invaded New York. Crysis 3 Remastered has players explore an overtaken New York City where the main protagonist, Prophet, will need to use everything he has to save humanity.
Steffen Halbig, Project Lead, had this to say about the Crysis Remastered Trilogy’s announcement:
“We’re excited to announce that these iconic Crysis games are returning in one bundle, remastered for a new generation of hardware. Each game is enhanced to look and play beautifully on today’s platforms, delivering the finest Crysis experience for both newcomers to our classic franchise or players wishing to relive the adventure.”
No definitive release date was given, but a Fall release window was stated.
