Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion ‘The Crown Tundra’ gets Release date, and Nostalgic Music Video

New details regarding the second half of the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield expansion pass have been announced during a livestream on the official Pokemon Youtube Channel including a new release date for The Crown Tundra.

The Crown Tundra features a shining, silver landscape. This frigid environment is home to many new Pokémon as well as small communities of people. There’s also Peony who will appoint the players as the leader of an exploration team, tasked with investigating the frozen land. These adventures will have you team up with up to three trainers will lead them to Pokémon Dens which are far more imposing than regular max raid battle dens, as they will contain every single legendary in the franchise. You will be able to undertake these adventures with friends, locally or via online.

The Galarian Star Tournament will also be added in the update, this tournament is a new twist on the rematches. Rather than selecting one opponent like in the champion’s cup rematches, you will take part in multi battles against various pairs of gym leaders, with the ability to select your partner from your favorite Galar trainers.

Additionally, Pokemon GO will be updated with compatibility between it, and Pokemon Home by the end of this year.

The Crown Tundra expansion will be available starting October 10th, and an edition of Pokemon Sword and Shield with the expansion pass included be available October 11th.

You can watch the stream below.

They also surprised us with a special music video dripping with nostalgia, a song called GOTCHA, by the band ‘Bump of Chicken’. Just, watch it below. It’s 11.30pm and I’m getting emotional over how good it is. So many memories….
