Crown Trick Details its Nine Different Weapon Types in New Video
NExT Studios released a new video for their roguelike dungeon-crawler, Crown Trick, coming to Nintendo Switch and PC-via Steam on October 16.
The video highlights the nine weapon types that players will encounter will exploring the dungeon. Through these weapons, players will discover how vastly different each of them plays as they provide a unique experience in terms of attack range, effectiveness, and limitations.
However, players will notice how vastly different the stats of weapons are as well as their passive and active abilities. These need to be taken into consideration when switching weapons as well. For Example, a gun may be powerful and have range, but one turn needs to be spent reloading, while a sword requires being close to enemies. The video is definitely worth the view.
Crown Trick is a strategy roguelike where players explore a dungeon to try and escape the Nightmare Realm as Elle, who is armed with a magical, talking crown. Each floor is littered with weapons and items for players to use in combat that each has unique stats and abilities. Furthermore, weapons have their own range as well, which covers a number of tiles or just one. There are currently over 40 active skills, 60 possible abilities, 30 usable items, and 170 special weapons known as relics in the game.
The game features puzzles in the dungeon as well, with over 60 to get through on top of the ten boss battles that await players in each run. The dungeons are randomly generated with plenty of ways to get new gear.
