Adventure RPG ‘Cris Tales’ Shows Choices and Consequences in Gameplay Video
Modus Games released new gameplay for the Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK-developed adventure RPG, Cris Tales, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam in 2021.
The gameplay shows how players can make choices during the adventure that have consequences later on. Given that the game revolves around a timeline-shiting mechanic, it’s still possible to do irreversible acts and miss out on certain side quests. Additionally, the “Synchro” system during combat allows players to shift the enemies’ timeline for a positive or even negative effect. For example, a wolf may be better to fight at a young age than a much stronger adult version.
Cris Tales features hand-drawn 2D animations, which bring the world of the game to life with a handful of choices to be made that will alter the game’s present and future. Players can also dive into the game’s innovative combat that features a stylish turn-based style battle system where players can execute actions. The developer also added that the game will take around 20 hours to complete.
