Pearl Abyss has partnered with Amazon to release a free 20-minute playable demo of Crimson Desert. This demo can be played in a browser with no extra downloads required, letting prospective players get a taste of how the open world and combat work.
You can access the demo via Twitch. Once the 20 minutes run out or you exit the demo manually, you’re encouraged to purchase the full game on Steam. Still, it seems you can also restart the demo.
Crimson Desert follows Kliff, a warrior of the Greymanes, a faction from the northern region of Pailune known for its emphasis on peace and unity. The story begins after that peace collapses, leaving the Greymanes fractured. Kliff’s initial goal is to reunite the faction and reclaim their homeland, but the scope expands.
Crimson Desert is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Enhanced Version has also been released for free and includes a slew of additions.
