Pearl Abyss has announced Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown, a new DLC expansion launching on October 15, 2026. Pre-orders go live today, and the expansion adds new stories, ocean exploration, underwater areas, enemies, housing features, and additional activities.
Charting the Unknown continues the stories of Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane after the base game’s events. A major incorporation is naval exploration. Players control a ship and travel beyond the existing coastline to visit new islands.
Exploration also extends underwater, where players can swim beneath the surface in search of treasures and ruins. New enemies will appear across land and sea, requiring players to adjust their tactics.
Players will be able to rent and manage different facilities as a source of income, while an upgraded Housing mode provides additional options for creating a home. Interactions with Pywel’s residents are being expanded to support deeper relationships, too.
Pre-ordering the DLC grants the Charter’s Diving Set for Kliff and Oongka and the Charter’s Light Diving Set for Damiane.
Crimson Desert is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Enhanced Version is also available for free and includes a slew of additions.
