Creature Collector JRPG ‘Cassette Beasts’ Shares Fusion Mechanic Trailer; Over 14,000 Unique Combinations

During the latest Guerrilla Collective, developer Bytten Studio and publisher Raw Fury revealed more gameplay information regarding their creature collector JRPG, Cassette Beasts, releasing for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, via Game Pass, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam at a currently unknown time.

The Fusion gameplay mechanic was briefly discussed, allowing players to combine two of the over 120 available monster forms to create over 14,000 uniquely animated and voiced combinations. That’s quite an impressive metric. Fusions are essentially temporary evolutions where even the human companion can merge with the player character, boasting “combined elemental types, stats, and access to both sets of moves.” Still, select opponents can also utilize this strategical force, so it’s always best to be wary.
