Crash Team Rumble Releasing June 2023; Gameplay Reveal, Pricing, Editions & Closed Beta Announced

Activision and Toys for Bob have revealed via outlet Video Games Chronicle that the previously announced crossplay party game, Crash Team Rumble, will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on June 20, 2023.

Additionally, fans who pre-order the game will be able to participate in a closed beta test occurring between April 20 and April 24, 2023. Crash, Coco, Tawna, Neo Cortex, and Dingodile will be playable across three maps.

Interestingly, the game costs $29.99 for the Standard Edition and $39.99 for the Deluxe Edition. The former will include all of the aforementioned content and the Season 1 Premium Battle Pass, while the latter will also have the Season 2 Premium Battle Pass, as well as “a 25-tier instant unlock for Season 1 and a Digital Proto Pack, which includes ‘Blocky’ skins and equipable items.”

Adding on to this news, prominent YouTuber Canadian Guy Eh, known for his Spyro and Crash Bandicoot content, has shared an almost-three minute-long gameplay reveal and an intricate breakdown video of the game’s systems.

Seasonal events and limited-time modes are planned, though it’s emphasized that there will not be a single-player mode at launch. Further, an Activision account will be required to play the title.
