ININ Games have announced that BEEP’s side-scrolling shooter Cotton Reboot will be released both physically and digitally on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. These two releases have an expected release date window of Quarter 1 2021 in North America and Europe.
Cotton Reboot stars a cute young witch named Nata de Cotton, who is obsessed with candies known as Willows. Accompanied by her fairy Silk, the immature hot-headed witch sets off a journey to find those tasty treats amidst a myriad of stages full of graveyards, forests, and other such scenery.
Cotton Reboot is a remastered version of the classic shoot ’em up title, Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams. New features and updated designs are the main appeals of this remaster. 3 game modes that include the X68000 original mode, faithfully and emulate Sharp’s personal computer from the 1993 version, are included in this title as well. A 16:9 aspect ratio is available in Arranged mode. A score attack mode is also added, allowing players to compete for high scores in 2 minute and 5-minute game modes.
ININ Games will also be publishing a limited collector’s edition of the title and it is expected to be on sale next month, with pre-orders for the standard edition being available soon after.
