Publisher Playsaurus has announced that the historic Cookie Clicker will be making its way to Steam at the beginning of September. Being one of the progenitors of the idle genre, this release aims to rebirth what made the original Cookie Clicker from 2013 so addicting, alongside providing numerous new features to engage new players and bring back veterans.
Boasting over 600 upgrades and over 500 achievements, there is a seemingly endless sea of tasks for players to accomplish via immense ‘replayability’ if it can be called that. Permanent upgrades and mini-games enhance this unbelievable gameplay value too.
The addition of multi-language support serves to increase accessibility for several, varied crowds, and the soundtrack composed by C418 emits a tranquil ambiance needed for such a time-investing experience.
Perhaps most importantly is the cloud saving feature, which will save players from accidental instances of deleted cookies. Not only are these inclusions proving this soon-to-be-released title to be the ultimate Cookie Clicker experience, but also the ultimate idling experience. We here at Noisy Pixel can’t wait to commit ourselves to this masterpiece when it releases in just a few mere weeks from now.
