Players control Constance, an artist who fights and moves through the environment using a paintbrush. She can transform into paint to travel through the ground and walls, cut through enemies, and use different brush techniques to reach new areas.
Progression centers on learning additional abilities, completing platforming sections, solving puzzles, and defeating bosses. The game takes place across six interconnected biomes inspired by different parts of Constance’s psyche and personal history.
Each area includes its own enemies and characters, alongside side quests, collectibles, alternate paths, and hidden areas. New brush techniques gradually open access to previously unreachable sections of the map.
Constance is available on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
