Athena Games has announced its dark fantasy tactical action game CONQ: Crown of No Quarter for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in 2027.
CONQ: Crown of No Quarter takes place in a purgatory known as the Eternal Shift. Players awaken within the Iron Loop, where armies pulled from different historical eras are locked in continuous warfare under the observation of an entity known only as the “Unknown.”
The combat combines direct melee action with real-time battlefield commands. Players fight alongside their troops, using medieval martial arts while directing regiments during large-scale encounters. Defeating rival commanders can trigger a Coronation and cause their remaining forces to collapse.
There will also be transitions between naval and ground warfare. Players can align themselves with a faction, though traditional historical alliances no longer apply.
Supernatural abilities are also instilled via dark mutations called Anomalies. These powers include summoning undead forces and using shadow curses against opposing armies, including abilities designed to affect enemy morale.
