Nightdive Studios and Ziggurat revealed Killing Time: Resurrected, a remastered release of 1995’s Killing Time, which was initially released on 3DO and PC. This updated version promises upscaled environmental texturing, smoother gameplay, more responsive controls, and expanded control and key-bind settings. Killing Time: Resurrected is currently in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG.
In Killing Time: Resurrected, players are transported to the early 1930s, taking on the role of a former Egyptology student trapped in the mansion of wealthy heiress Tess Conway. After a ritual intended to grant eternal life goes awry, Ms. Conway’s high-society friends disappear, leaving players to uncover the mansion’s dark secrets. The primary objective is to locate and destroy the mystical Egyptian Water-Clock to lift its curse, all while battling a host of supernatural horrors.
Key features of the game include intense first-person corridor mayhem, with players navigating a three-dimensional mansion featuring outdoor areas, staircases, and intricately detailed environments. The game provides a continuous gameplay experience with no load times between areas and updated controls to support PlayStation and Xbox gamepads. Players will encounter seven video-real apparitions and ghostly guests, whose remembrances offer clues to the mansion’s past heinous acts. Accompanied by an original, haunting soundtrack, players must stay vigilant as every room and passageway in the estate holds dreadful dangers.
