Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend Gets Steam and Mobile Release Date in New Trailer

Square Enix announced that their retro-RPG Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend is coming to PC-via Steam on September 21, 2021, and iOS and Android devices on October 21, 2021.

The publisher released a new trailer that highlights the three titles included in the collection, The Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II, and Final Fantasy Legend III. Each game was created by Akitoshi Kawazu and initially released on Game Boy beginning in 1989. The SaGa series used the Final Fantasy Legend title in hopes of being more popular in the west.

This new version of the game will similar to the Switch release with the added screen customization options. Further, players can adjust the speed of the game to get through battles and world exploration quicker.

Additionally, players will find a special anniversary song, 8 different in-game wallpapers, and the option to play using Japanese or English text. Given that the game was released on the Game Boy players can also detach the Joy-Con and hold the screen vertically to take advantage of the touch screen buttons to replicate the retro handheld.
