Aksys Games announced that the Idea Factory developed Otome visual novel Collar X Malice -Unlimited-, will launch physically in the west on Nintendo Switch in August 2020.
Collar X Malice -Unlimited- features an Interlude, After Story, and Adonis play mode where players will revisit the characters and events from the original game and build new relationships following the aftermath of the first X-Day Incident. The game also features a new investigatory experience where players will need to search for traits hidden deep with Adonis before the next X-Day arrives.
A Limited Edition will be available for $69.99 that chase with a soundtrack with 30 songs, a premium 1″ Adonis organization pin, and an X-Day coin. The game will also launch as a standard edition on Switch.
Collar X Malice is a mystery visual novel that follows the main protagonist Ichika Hoshino, a cop who is out on patrol through the streets of Shinjuku, Tokyo. On this particular night, she is attacked and comes to find out that a strange color has been placed around her neck. Evidently, this is tied to a case that several former police offers have been investigating, and they all seem to be beautiful men. Throughout the story, Ichika must learn more about the collar and how to remove it without setting off the poison that resides within it, which could end her life.
Both Collar X Malice and Collar X Malice -Unlimited- will release on Switch in June and August 2020, respectively.
