Code Vein Launches New Boss Trailer Introducing “Successor of the Claw”
Bandai Namco launched a new trailer for their dungeon-crawling RPG Code Vein, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam on September 27.
The trailer introduces the new boss of the game, Successor of the Claw, who comes up with these names? Anyway, this feline foe is not to be taken lightly. It wields huge blades and claws and is able to pounce around the battlefield at high speeds. However, that is all, the Successor of the Claw also throws shurikens in battles that can slice through foes at a range. This is perhaps the most dangerous boss we’ve seen as of yet.
Code Vein is an action-adventure game where players will be able to craft their weapons and customize their experience by fine-tuning their character’s playstyle during the game’s dark and gritty narrative. We had the chance to play through the during the recent Network Test and saw that it borrows some elements of Dark Souls, but it does enough to make itself stand out in the genre. The game focuses heavily on character growth and weapon customization as the player searches for Blood Beads in a post-apocalyptic world.
There’s also a partner that joins the player’s journey, but that doesn’t stop the game from being fairly difficult, which is something that fans seem to enjoy. The game also has a pretty interesting story that is revealed throughout exploration as well as an online co-op mode.
In case you missed it, check out the previous boss trailers introducing Insatiable Despot, Butterfly of Delirium, Successor of the Ribcage and the Invading Executioner.
