Indie Adventure ‘Cloudpunk’ Reveals Console Release in New Gameplay Trailer

Merge Games announced that the Ion Lands-developed adventure game, Cloudpunk, will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch along with the PC-via Steam release later in 2020.

Cloudpunk has players explore the city of Nivalis. The city is home to underground nightclubs and gardens in the sky, but there are many ins-and-outs to surviving in the futuristic world.

Players assume the role of Rania on her first night working for Cloudpunk, a semi-legal delivery company. Players are tasked with traversing the city in a delivery vehicle as they run deliveries and meet new characters. The game’s narrative will have players interact with androids and humans who each have unique personalities and affect the game’s plot. During gameplay, players will make choices that will change the narrative and impact the people of Nivalis. There are also hidden places and items that players can unlock through exploration.

Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer showing additional gameplay. The trailer also gives an overview of the setting and the missions that await the players during the narrative. The game takes inspiration from Firewatch and Kentucky Route Zero, which definitely shows in its presentation and systems.
