Clock Tower Announced for Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox & PC, Early 2024 Release; Features New Vocal Theme Song, Cutscenes & More
WayForward, Sunsoft, and Limited Run Games have announced that an enhanced version of the original Clock Tower will launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC in early 2024. This will mark the survival horror game’s first officially translated release for North America and Europe, as it will be translated into English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Clock Tower is a point and click horror title originally released for the Super Famicom in 1995, following Jennifer and her three friends who have been adopted into a strange new family. However, all isn’t as it seems as the must run away from the Scissor Man, a serial killer who stalks the mansion that was supposed to be their new home. Can Jennifer survive or will she be another victim for the Scissor Man to slice away?
“Harnessing the power of Limited Run Games’ Carbon Engine, this new edition of Clock Tower retains the authentic gameplay, graphics, and sound of the original version while also adding modern features and enhancements. These include a new vocal theme song performed by Mary McGlynn (Silent Hill series), a new animated opening, motion-comic cutscenes before and after the game, a bonus art gallery, border artwork, save states, multiple language options, and more.”
Limited Run Games will release a physical version of the title, but details have not yet been provided.
