Classic Neo Geo Pocket Card Game ‘SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters’ Clash’ Now Available on Switch
SNK has released the Neo Geo Pocket card game SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters’ Clash digitally on Nintendo Switch. This is a surprise release as the company had not previously mentioned it was coming to Nintendo’s hybrid system. The title is one of the major classics from SNK’s old handheld and the first time franchises from SNK and Capcom games were featured together in a crossover back in 1999.
SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters’ Clash allows players to get 300 cards based on classic franchises from SNK and Capcom. This includes popular franchises like Capcom’s Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Mega Man and SNK’s Metal Slug, Samurai Shodown, and The King of Fighters (which started as a crossover of SNK franchises). However, there are also some niche picks like Jin and BLODIA from Cyberbots, or Gai and Takato from Buriki One.
The game was originally released on the Neo Geo Pocket in two editions (SNK and Capcom). Some cards are exclusive from each version making it necessary to use the trading function to have access to all of them. The Switch version has both games with separate save files, so players can go through them both and trade with themselves when necessary. It’s also possible to battle another player locally using the save data from both versions.
