Classic Dating Sim ‘Doukyuusei: Bangin’ Summer’ Gets New Trailer Ahead of Its English Release Next Week

Shiravune has shared a new trailer for their upcoming release of Doukyuusei: Bangin’ Summer. The dating sim remake will be available in English on PC -via Johren and Steam– on April 14, 2022. Shiravune had originally planned to release the game last month but had to postpone it due to an extended platform-side review.

Doukyuusei is a classic dating sim, usually regarded as one of the earliest games to set standards for the genre. The original title was developed by Elf in 1992, and received a remake as early as 1999. Bangin’ Summer is an updated version of it with images in high definition, fully voiced heroines and quality of life options such as jumping to the next important event through a calendar and an auto save system.

The game follows a young man who’s in his last summer before graduation. He spent the first half of the vacation getting money doing a variety of odd jobs. His plan now is to enjoy the time remaining to the best of his ability, and this includes flirting with a variety of hot babes he hopes to get more intimate with. By spending some time with the characters, going on dates and enjoying their events, the player will have the chance to get to know them better.
