Prototype will publish the Key-developed visual novel Clannad Side Stories on the Nintendo Switch eShop on May 20, 2021, in North America and Europe.
Clannad Side Stories is a collection of 16 stories featuring characters from the Clannad series as a continuation of some of the adventures that take place post and pre-Clannad. The Switch version features touch screen support and the option to play with one hand. The game will support Japanese and English subtitles.
Clannad Side Stories, initially launched on PC-via Steam in the west and contains linear side stories, allows you to explore and experience new sides and twists to your favorite characters from the little town of Hikarizaka. These are the stories that are not explored in either the visual novel or in the anime adaptation. The game is meant to be played by those who have already played the base Clannad title. This version also features the scenarios in higher resolution than its original PSP release.
If eShop releases aren’t your thing, Play-Asia is hosting pre-orders for a physical Switch release that supports English subtitles. However, you’ll have to import this version.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on other Key titles coming west along with more visual novel news.
