Fantasy Sandbox RPG ‘Citadel: Forged With Fire’ October Launch Date Set for PS4, Xbox One, and PC
Developer Blue Isle Studios has announced that the magical world of Citadel: Forged With Fire is all set to take flight on October 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam for $39.99, and will be released via retail and digital platforms.
That said, thanks to the folks over at Solutions 2 Go, Citadel: Forged With Fire is now available for pre-order through major retailers.
Set in the enchanted world of Ignus, this magical massive online sandbox RPG teaches aspiring wizards the art of spellcasting, spellcrafting, broomstick flying, and extensive building as players make allies to form a House and then an empire. Given that this is a sandbox game, though, players have complete freedom to make their own adventure, whether its by becoming a hunter and striking down other players or simply just being a humble castle builder.
The game has been in Steam Early Access since July 2017, however, soon the developer is ready to release a complete version. Via a press release, Alex Tintor, managing director of Blue Isle Studios, shares that having the game in Early Access has prepared the team to make the game the best it can be:
“With three major content updates and more than 90 patches, we worked directly with the community during Early Access to ensure that Citadel was massive in scale and rich with content in preparation for its full launch. Three huge boss dungeons, the refinement of our broomstick flight and addition of the Broomstick Sports combined with enhancements to our spell crafting system will envelop players into this magical realm.”
Blue Isle Studios may be an indie game developer, but they’ve gotten some help from industry veterans Jack Tretton and Doug Kennedy as both serve as directors for funding Citadel: Forged With Fire. Also, though, both Tretton and Kennedy have confirmed funding for Blue Isles’ next unannounced game.
