Circle Empires Brings Fast-Paced RTS Action to PC Next Month

Publisher Iceberg Interactive announced that developer Luminous’s RTS game Circle Empires will make its way onto PC-via Steam and other major digital retailers on August 8 for $7.99.

Circle Empires puts the player in control of various units who exist on a circular world. These interconnected circles each contain valuable loot and a potential chance to expand the player’s territory. As territories connect to the player’s circle, a battle will commence between a combination of the game’s 18 playable factions, 12 enemy boss monsters, and 150+ different creatures.

Additionally, players will use strategy and unit building to determine what to do with resources and how to build up structures.

Circle Empires began as a small demo on Game Jolt, where it was download over 165,000 times. Since then, the game has expanded to include everything that the fans have been asking for with a variety of new features and completely overhauled art.

Circle Empires will release with the following language support:  English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Turkish, Czech, Polish and Estonian.

Author’s take: I enjoy findings games like this that might otherwise be overlooked. Graphics don’t always make the game and if Circle Empires can offer balanced RTS systems, then it doesn’t need fancy visuals. However, I can appreciate how cute some of those character designs are.
