Square Enix has posted the official promotional video for the upcoming Chrono Trigger 30th Anniversary Album “Melodies that Transcend Time” ahead of its release in January 2026 for $32.99.

About Chrono Trigger
The protagonist, Crono, is a young man accidentally sent on a time-traveling journey after meeting a scientist’s daughter, Lucca, and encountering a portal.
As the group explores different time periods, from the prehistoric era to a dystopian future, they form alliances with various characters, including a cavewoman named Ayla and a robotic companion named Robo. Along the way, they uncover the truth behind Lavos’s origin and its plan to destroy the world.
Chrono Trigger received an enhanced DS version that added extra content. However, PC is the only modern platform for potential fans to experience this classic. Many are hoping for an HD-2D remake.
