Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition Announced For April Release; PS4, Xbox One, Switch & Steam

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers was announced today.

Encounters can be turned off entirely and the soundtrack has been entirely rearranged. Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on April 7, 2022.

This game is the sequel to the beloved Chrono Trigger, boasting unconventional storytelling elements and battle mechanics. Further, there are 40 playable characters, adding to this game’s sense of sturdy identity. The visuals have also been notably updated.

Chrono Cross initially launched in 1999 on PlayStation in Japan before releasing in the west. The game was recently seen in a collaboration with the free-to-play RPG Another Eden. The collaboration added characters and weapons to the game. While Chrono Cross was critically received, it took fans a while to see it as a proper sequel to the widely beloved Chrono Trigger.
