Psychological Visual Novel Adventure ‘Chromatose’ Launches Kickstarter to Retain Story’s High Quality

AkaBaka launched a Kickstarter to help fund their upcoming psychological visual novel Chromatos for PC.

Chromatos is a 2D visual novel will RPG elements and an emphasis on player choice and interaction that will have an effect on character relationships and the story overall. During the game, the protagonist has woken up after a long fall that probably should have killed him. Evidentally, he’s not alone as a group of amnesiac strangers is trapped with you. Evidentally, this nightmare will last 12 hours, which is that amount of time that the characters have to escape until they never wake up again.

The campaign is $22,000 dollars and has provided anyone interested with a 2-3 hour high-quality demo. The demo was made by the team to show possible backers what they are capable and also the quality of work they plan to be in the final game. This is why they have turned to Kickstarter. Backers will be able to get the game for a $15 pledge and there are other physical rewards offered on other tiers.

Chromatos features RPG elements that include using a rapid-fire card battle system that “interweaves the relationships that you build with how effective you are in combat.”
