Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! Comparison Video With Original Wii Version

With Square Enix’s upcoming remaster of a classic title, Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy!, releasing on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 20. We wanted to see how the game stacked up against the Wii version titled Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Dungeon, released in 2008.

In the video, we compared the PlayStation 4 version against the Wii version and found several differences. Story scenes will play out differently, but also scenes that were once voiced in the early dungeons have been removed to focus on the “Buddy” system of the game, which allows players to take a character or monster into a dungeon with them with the option to have a second player control the buddy. Additionally, the audio dialog has also been updated along with dungeons receiving a facelift. We end the video with a surprise new character who will appear in the game regularly.

In case you missed it, please check out our preview of the game where we got hands-on with the new version of a classic dungeon crawling RPG, we also put together a nice video preview for fans to get a more detailed look at the game’s newest content.

With that said, don’t take our word for it and please enjoy our comparison video below:
