During IGN’s Summer of Gaming livestream, Tripwire announced that the Torn Banner Studios-developed medieval action game, Chivalry 2, will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via the Epic Games Store.
Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer showing some of the environments and game modes that players will find themselves in. The trailer highlights how players will need to work together in order to storm a castle or defend a position using medieval instruments of war. The trailer also shows the updated graphics and ways that players can take on opponents.
Chivalry 2 is a sequel to 2012’s Chivalry that aims to recreate medieval battles in a video game with life-like physics and damage. Players can choose between a number of classes that each perform differently in battle and have a variety of skills available to them. For example, heavily armored characters can take a bit more damage, but their powerful swings take time to gain momentum, allowing players to guard or dodge. During some campaigns, players can strategize sieges of castles that follow a war from beginning to end.
