Child of Light’s Aurora Brightening Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Tomorrow

505 Games and ArtPlay have announced that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be getting Child of Light‘s protagonist Aurora as a playable character in a free update soon.

As of March 31, players will be able to play as Aurora on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Switch players will, unfortunately, have to wait for an unannounced later date to play as the Child of Light character.

To play as Aurora when she’s available, players will simply have to start a new game, and upon choosing their save file name, they’ll be able to choose Aurora as their player character.

505 Games even gave an official synopsis of Aurora for interested newcomers: “Aurora has lost her way and awoken in a strange, dangerous new land. Armed with the Sword of Matildis and accompanied by the loyal Igniculus, she must find a way to escape. Despite the dire situation, Aurora is not alone. Johannes is on hand to help her increase her power by transmuting items found in chests throughout the game.”

A new trailer was also released to tease Aurora’s release tomorrow for PS4, Xbox One, and PC players. If you’ve never played Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and think this may be the best time to start, check out our full written review of the base game.
