Otome ‘Charade Maniacs’ Coming West Summer 2023 for Switch
During their special livestream, publisher Idea Factory International announced that they will officially localize and bring Charade Maniacs to western audiences. The game will be released for Nintendo Switch in the Summer of 2023.
In Charade Maniacs, players take on the role of Hiyori Sena, a high school sophomore who has been abducted by a masked figure. Trapped in the mysterious world of Arcadia with nine others, she is forced by her captor to act in dramas alongside the other abductees.
To make matters worse, there’s a traitor among the costars! Love blooms on and off stage in this dramatic search for truth and romance. Who can you trust? Originally released for the PlayStation Vita only in Japan, the eccentric cast returns to the stage on the Nintendo Switch.
Players will be able to romance up to nine guys across nine routes, with a provided Flowchart helping keep track of divergences made from countless choices. Additionally, songs from Tokyo Logic will be unlocked as progress is made throughout the multiple storylines, and they’ll even be added to the in-game music player so you can jam out whenever.
The game’s Amazon page provided the following screenshots and box art. It also states that the otome title will launch on June 30, 2023, but that could simply be a placeholder. Idea Factory Interntional did not provide that date, either.
