Charade Maniacs Trailer Reveals The Cleaning Team; We Have No Idea What These Hot Boys Should Be Cleaning

Idea Factory International has shared a new trailer for Charade Maniacs. Just like the previous one, it highlights three of the hot boys the protagonist may get intimate with during the game. This time we have “the Cleaning Team,” but the company does not explain what that name means in the video description or the official site, which was last updated in February.

Charade Maniacs tells the story of a high school sophomore called Hiyori Sena. After being abducted by a mysterious, masked figure, she’s trapped in the mysterious world of Arcadia with nine men. There, they’re forced to act in dramas to have a chance to escape this place. However, one of them may be a traitor, so can she really trust them?

Relevant staff members include scenario writer Uta Amemiya, whose previous works include the short episodes of the PlayStation Vita otome Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly, and character designer Teita from the Norn9 series. It was originally released on PlayStation Vita in Japan back in 2018.

The first guy in the new trailer is Tomose Banjo, whose VA is Kenichi Suzumura (UtaPri’s Masato Hijirikawa, Sweet Fuse’s Subaru Shidou). He’s a childhood friend of the protagonist and also studies at Gekkei High School. Though he acts cool most of the time, he has a tendency to be overprotective whenever it’s something about her. He is a member of the drama club, and his favorite food is clam chowder.

Voiced by Tomokazu Seki (Persona 4’s Kanji, STEINS;GATE’s Daru), Ryoichi Futami is an art student at a vocational school. He ends up acting as a sort of brother figure to some of the guys kidnapped to Arcadia, especially those who act selfishly.

Lastly, Souta Gyobu is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Olympia Soirée’s Akaza, CHAOS;CHILD’s Takuru). He’s an eccentric figure who is supposed to be a student at Gekkei High School, too, but the protagonist has never seen him there. He loves old games and often acts aloof.
